The Wildhammer Clan, renowned for their bond with gryphons, is a dwarven clan whose faction is primarily based in the Twilight Highlands. While you may have encountered them in The Hinterlands and Outland in the past, their official affiliation with the Alliance is established in Cataclysm. As such, only Alliance players can earn reputation with them, while Horde players gain access to the Dragonmaw Clan instead.
Starting at Neutral reputation with the Wildhammer Clan, this guide will outline how to progress all the way to Exalted.
Who Needs Wildhammer Clan Rep?
Most Alliance characters will discover valuable items at the Wildhammer Clan Quartermaster, provided they haven’t acquired full raid gear. Here are some examples:
- Strength DPS enthusiasts will aim for Revered to obtain the Arcanum of the Wildhammer helm enchantment, offering Strength and Mastery.
- Agility DPS players will covet the Stormbolt Gloves for their pre-raid set, obtainable at Exalted reputation.
- Caster DPS will prioritize reaching Exalted to acquire the Lightning Flash Pendant for their pre-raid gear.
- Tanks will strive for Exalted to acquire the Gryphon Rider’s Boots for their pre-raid set.
- Restoration Druids will aim for Exalted reputation to acquire the Belt of the Untamed for their pre-raid gear.
Furthermore, for achievement hunters, Wildhammer Clan reputation is essential for unlocking the 40 Exalted Reputations achievement, granting the “The Exalted” title.

To advance your reputation with the Wildhammer Clan, initially, you must complete quests in the Twilight Highlands zone until you attain Friendly status. By completing the first portion of the zone’s storyline, you can progress well into Honored reputation. However, the second half of the storyline doesn’t offer as much reputation.
Once you’ve reached Friendly status, you can opt to continue earning reputation by wearing a Tabard of the Wildhammer Clan in Cataclysm dungeons. This tabard becomes available for purchase at Friendly reputation and will facilitate your journey to Exalted.
Furthermore, upon completing the first half of the Twilight Highlands quest chain, you’ll unlock daily quests that yield Wildhammer Clan reputation. These daily quests will be discussed in detail in their own section below.
Wildhammer Clan Quests
Completing quests in the Twilight Highlands zone is indeed the sole method to attain Friendly reputation with the Wildhammer Clan and to unlock access to the faction’s tabard and daily quests.
To initiate the Twilight Highlands quest chain, visit the Hero’s Call Board in Stormwind City. The Twilight Highlands zone is designated for characters at levels 84 to 85. Hence, ensure your character has reached at least level 84 to undertake the associated breadcrumb quest, which is Hero’s Call: Twilight Highlands!

While some quests do not offer Wildhammer Clan reputation directly, they are essential to progress in the quest chain. Several quests provide Stormwind or Earthen Ring reputation instead. Wildhammer Clan Dungeons
Achieving a reputation of Friendly with the Wildhammer Clan permits you to acquire a Tabard of the Wildhammer Clan from the quartermaster stationed in Thundermar. Equipping this tabard during any level 85 Cataclysm dungeon will result in earning reputation for defeating enemies within the dungeon.
Wildhammer Clan Daily Quests
Upon finishing the Wild, Wild, Wildhammer Wedding quest in Twilight Highlands, Thundermar is secured from the Dragonmaw Clan, and you gain access to five daily quests that offer extra Wildhammer Clan reputation.
