Restoration Druid Healer Guide - Shadowlands 9.0.1

Basic Information

Restoration Druids excel in healing over time effects (HoTs) and continuous raid healing with high throughput. They use the raw energies of nature as defenders of nature and protectors of equilibrium to return life to the injured and shape change to improve their natural ability. Restoration Druids have incredibly high agility, with most talents being immediate cast, and succeed in circumstances involving substantial movement. They can spread their healing through large numbers of spread out allies using their healing over time properties, or focus it by piling several HoTs on a limited number of targets, enabling them to be very flexible in both raid and dungeon content.

Druids will play the Highmountain Tauren, Tauren, Troll, Night Elf, Worgen, Kul Tiran, and Zandalari Troll.
Daggers, 1-handed/2-handed maces, fist weapons, polearms and staves may be used by druids.
Druid abilities: Rejuvenation, Lifebloom, Regrowth, Swiftmend, Wild Growth, and Tranquility: Classic Restoration
Mastery: Harmony: With each of your Regeneration healing over time results on the target, your healing is improved.

Druid Strengths and Weaknesses Reconstruction

Strengths: Skilled in spells of Healing Over Time. With Rejuvenation , regeneration is proactively set up and has high continuous throughput. For good single goal results, a greater number of HoT effects may be focused on individual allies. Mobility Unmatched. Exceptional life for a healer, in particular.

Weaknesses: Requires considerable tuning, meaning that because of not having a sufficient blanket of HoTs on allies, it can be difficult to respond to unexpected burst damage. Over-HoT’ing the raid, on the other hand, will reasonably quickly lead to high overhealing and mana effectiveness problems.

What makes Druids Unique for Rehabilitation

Fantasy: Druids rely on nature itself to support their comrades in a desperate situation with strong healing over time spells and to use their shapeshift powers to achieve an upper hand.

Resources: Restoration Druids use their main spells with mana as their resource. You need a different resource if you change the form of a bear or cat.

Damage Reduction: Barkskin is your primary reduction spell for self-damage. If you’re a Guardian Affinity skill, this gives you a 6% passive reduction in injury.

Healing: Druids of regeneration are masters of HoTs (Healing Over Time Spells). Just to name a few, Rejuvenation,, Regrowth,, Wild Growth, and Lifebloom. Blanketing the allies do regular minor healing blasts in these kinds of heals.

Basic rotation: Keep Lifebloom on an active tank and ensure that your Efflorescence is still put under a group of players wounded. Cast Wild Growth on wounded group members for AoE recovery and cast Rejuvenation and Regrowth.

Mobility: owing to their multiple instant casts and their ability to shape into the Cat Form and Travel Form, Restoration Druids are very versatile. For extra agility, they can also use Dash and their Wild Charge and Tiger Dash talents.

Healing Cooldowns: Baseline Tranquility, especially with its added HoT aspect, is one of the best healing cooldowns. Extra curing cooldowns you can use as talents are Incarnation: Tree of Life, Overgrowth, and Flourish .

Armor: Leather Intelligence

Mount (Form): Archdruid’s Lunarwing Form is the class mount for Restoration Druids and helps you to bring as a passenger an ally. There is a different color tint in each race.

Title: Archdruid %s and %s, Guardian of G’Hanir

The flavour:
Without a saddle, Druids can travel easily using the Travel Form — on land, in water, or in the air.
When shapeshifted, when in Bear and Cat form, they have striking fur variations. In Shadowlands, like Legion Artifact types, nearly all our shapeshifts can be personalized.
They will teleport Druids to the special zone The Dreamgrove to fill with Druidic Lore and even portals to other locations holy to Druids around Azeroth.
They have a number of cosmetic glyphs, including Glyph of the Forest Path to leave a trail of leaves with Sprint, Glyph of the Sentinel to transform Flight Shape into an Owl, Glyph of Twilight Bloom to alter the color of the bloom effect of their Lifebloom, and Glyph of the Doe to turn Travel Form into a Doe. You will randomize your Movement Form tints in the Shadowlands with 3 new glyphs: the Glyph of the Aerial Chameleon, the Glyph of the Aquatic Chameleon, , and the Glyph of the Swift Chameleon.
Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa’s Rest, Val’anyr, Hammer of Ancient Kings, Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian, and Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros, can be armed with legendary weapons.

Lorelae Wintersong in Moonglade sells all of these items:

Druid Races Restauration

The Druids currently have only a few playable Alliance and Horde races available. Once their corresponding ally race has been unlocked, Alliance gains Kul’Tiran Druids and Horde gains Zandalari Troll Druids.

Races of a Horde
There are currently four Horde racing options: Highmountain Tauren, Tauren, Troll,, and Zandalari Troll. For Horde, Troll and Zandalari Troll. are the two best alternatives for Druids.

The Troll provides you with keys to Berserking. The improvement in on-demand haste not only raises the speed of the cast, but also increases the intermittent rate of all your healing over time for the span of 12s. While this may not sound like a major raise, remember that for the span of Berserking, current HoTs are already autoupdating on allies to include this fresh haste number. It will be necessary to do this regularly and efficiently during times of high incoming damage to optimize the advantage of this race.

Zandalari Troll offers you access to Embrace of Pa’ku or Embrace of Akunda to promote healing. At ~ 1 rppm, Embrace of Pa’ku gives a random 4% crit proc. In particular, if it procs during times of high incoming damage, this is very good, but can also be lower in value if it only procs during low incoming damage. At approximately ~ 2 rppm, Embrace of Akunda allows your heals to procure an additional small heal on the target. Both are powerful, but with the complexity of the substance you’re healing, Embrace of Pa’ku seems to scale better.

In terms of throughput races with Mountaineer, Highmountain Tauren are not far away.

Tauren and Brawn prove to be the worst of all the Restoration Druid races.

Alliance Races
Three race alternatives actually exist in the Alliance: Night Elf, Worgen, and Kul Tiran.

The best choice is less simple for Alliance, as Night Elf, Worgen, and Kul Tiran all have a flat increase in healing by Touch of Elune and Viciousness, and Brush It Off, respectively. Usually, the preference boils down to which of the other iconic races you choose. Night Elf has Shadowmeld, which can be used as a fighting drop for a lot of utility, making some interesting wipe recovery in Mythic+ raids or skips. For enhanced versatility, Worgen has Darkflight, which can be very useful. In addition to CC from Haymaker, Kul Tiran has extra throughput from Brush It Off through the 2 percent of damage taken healed as a 4s HoT. If you’re searching for pure production, then Kul Tiran appears to be the strongest, but the usefulness of the other races is not discounted.

All races have very different graphics, regardless of faction, particularly with regard to Druids, since many of the types can change appearance or color tint depending on the race. Druid Form Models for All Races.

Fresh Druid In Shadowlands Customization

Shapeshift customization was related to the look of our character prior to Shadowlands. Similar tints were correlated with skin tone or hair color preferences, so you had to change the other to change one. The structure no longer operates in the Shadowlands. From all available tints available for your Druid ‘s race, as well as those from assorted glyphs and toys, you will be able to select each of your shapeshifts. In addition, you will be able to choose from any Legion Artifact types you have already won.

Finally, Legion Artifact Arm transmog has eased its unique restrictions of specialization, allowing you to use the Scythe of Elune as a Druid of Regeneration or even the Claws of Ursoc.

Major improvements in Shadowlands for Regeneration Druids?

On Playstyle
Overall, the Druid of the Shadowlands Reconstruction is almost functionally similar to the War for Azeroth incarnation. To deal with injury, we use our HoT-oriented playstyle to heal our allies and our different affinities. Swiftmend is the only noticeable exception.

Swiftmend has shortened its cooldown to 15s, but in order to heal, it now absorbs a Regrowth, Rejuvenation, or Wild Growth HoT on the goal.

Returns Swiftmend to its more conventional features. Gives greater access to Swiftmend, allows the intake of HoT to lose the remaining healing of the consumed HoT and slows down the emergency healing if one of the required HoTs has not already been added to the target. Ideally, to increase the performance of Swiftmend, you would want to consume a HoT that is about to expire, but you will not always have the choice and will also need to consume a HoT that is almost full length.

Fresh Skills and Abilities
Druid Skills New Baseline Restoration:
Cyclone -In Shadowlands instead of a PvP skill, this hard CC capacity returns to our baseline toolkit.
Stampeding Roar -The AoE dash capacity shared by our Feral and Guardian mates is returning to Druid Restoration. Fantastic utility that I’ll be delighted to have back in the arsenal of the Druid Reconstruction.

New Talents
Nourish-It ‘s okay as a substitute for Prosperity. The same architecture room as Regrowth is packed with it. This would potentially be a decent choice for dungeon healing in the pre-patch with improved secondary stats, but would see less use with the Regrowth leveling bonus and the decreased amount of secondary stats in Shadowlands. Ideally, instead of its own spell, I would rather this be an extension to Regrowth.
Heart of the Wild As a Guardian Affinity Restoration Druid, effectively a loss cooldown for damage affinity Restoration Druids or a way to become substantially more tanky. And with the 5 min cooldown, extraordinary utility.
Overgrowth-As the spell learnt from Conflict and Strife, Overgrowth struggled to see a lot of action and this version of the ability tree does precious little to promote its use in the Shadowlands. While AoE burst healing and AoE sustained healing are improved by the other talents in this tier, Overgrowth is intended to improve the skill of Restoration Druid single goal burst healing. While it does do so to some degree, the cost of mana is far too high. Combine this with a 1 minute cooldown that is very minimal and the issues with this ability occur.

GCD Modifications
Innervate was omitted from the GCD to compensate and had its length shortened from 12s to 10s.
Returns Innervate to its pre-BFA element, which is just a win in general. You should apply Innervate to the combination to alleviate the expense without having to add the additional GCD to the configuration process if you require extremely high throughput and costly healing now. Fantastic change.

For Shadowlands, Druid Global Cooldown Shifts
