Sepulcher of the First Ones’ Best Subtlety Rogue Double Legendaries
Kyrian may shine as the Subtlety Rogue with the highest pure single target damage output. Kyrian’s damage profile is rather steady, with only tiny damage spikes with each use of Echoing Reprimand. As a result, it is the first choice in single target encounters like as Dausegne or Skolex.
Akaari’s Soul Fragment is powerful because the combo point production of Echoing Reprimand results in a greater number of Shadow Dance casts. This results in more Shadowstrike casts and more Akaari’s Soul Fragment procs. This is increased even further by the tier set benefits (Immortal Technique & Immortal Technique).
A Akaari’s Soul Fragment proc now generates Perforated Veins as well, thanks to a recent upgrade to the implementation on ptr, which almost doubles the number of stacks we create and occasionally necessitates the usage of Backstab during Shadow Dance.
There is still an unsolved small issue with this legendary power. When many shadow strike casts occur in a short period of time (as might happen with Immortal Technique procs), it is possible to lose or partially lose akaari procs owing to refresh behavior.
Because of the bonuses listed above, Akaari’s Soul Fragment is around 2% ahead of the second best choice in pure single target. It’s also worth noting that, even with larger target counts, Akaari’s Soul Fragment remains the greatest legendary pick for priority damage.
Venthyr shines thanks to its powerful, frequent burst and funnel damage. Venthyr’s damage profile is bursty, with damage centered around Flagellation usage. Venthyr will be the first choice for encounters with two or more targets, as well as bouts where Flagellation aligns well with encounter dynamics like funnel combat. Artificer Xy’mox and Anduin Wrynn are two examples of fights when this covenant may be the preferable option. One disadvantage of this covenant is that flagellation requires you to stay on the target for a longer amount of time. On battles when this is not achievable, it may be worthwhile to consider alternate covenants.
Depending on the encounter, we will select one of two Legendary options.
Akaari’s Soul Fragment is a solid pick because to the high Shadow Dance uptime provided by the specialty and the higher uptime provided by the tier set bonuses (Immortal Technique & Immortal Technique), which is not as large as on Kyrian but still enough to offer akaari a strong value. The interaction with Perforated Veins raises the value even further.
When focused on priority damage, Akaari’s Soul Fragment’s major strength rests in the increased priority damage and total output. As a result, this Legendary Power is ideal for pure single target or low target cleave clashes.
Finality benefits greatly from the increased number of combo points gained by both tier set bonuses ( Immortal Technique & Immortal Technique). The Legendary power improves with larger target counts and will be employed mostly in fights with a lengthy uptime of additions or a higher target funnel.
Akaari’s Soul Fragment, like Kyrian, is about 2% ahead of Finality on pure single target but begins to lag behind in output on four and greater target counts. Both Legendary abilities help us to better tailor our damage profile to encounters.
The new seasonal attachment may allow us to get large sized pulls. Venthyr will be a dominant pick in m+ since Flagellation is one of the few covenant skills that transfers effectively into cleave and aoe.
Due to the funnel and priority damage in mythic+, which allows players to equalize mob health in larger pulls and knock down high health targets to allow faster pace and a better chance of beating the timer, subtlety is already a very dominating specialty.
Most of the time, the legendary choice will be Finality. The increased funnel and AoE output should compensate for the little lower pure single target output. As a result, it is the default option.
Akaari’s Soul Fragment will be preferred in dungeons with high single target counts or a high number of pulls with low target counts.
