Shadowlands Torghast, Tower of the Damned Overview

About Torghast: What does it mean and why does it matter?
Torghast Tower of the Damned is a tower in the middle of the Maw, where the Jailer is hosting the most important hearts.

This latest dungeon form provides interactive content mounted. — time you visit it, you will face new obstacles of shifting floor plans and enemy crowds. You will have a new experience every time you visit Torghast. Torghast has several levels and as you step up the tower, the obstacles in it can increase. To help you resolve these obstacles, you can accumulate resources to temporarily increase your strength.

Players that want to better their characters can invest a lot of time here, as Torghast is the prime way to get Soul Ash, a personalized Legendary Armour, from players. It is also Torghast that you can visit the Runecarver, the man who makes formidable weapons such as Frostmourne or the helmet of dominion. You will communicate with the Runecarver mainly after freeing up your own legendary gear.

Torghast is intended for user or community material. It can be joined into groups of 1 and 5 players and the health of enemies can be changed accordingly.
Unlocking Torghast, Tower of the Damned
Once you have committed to a Convention at 60, you will be given a quest to The Maw, introduce yourself to the searches and geography and unlock Torghast. The Runecarver is also added and its chamber is issued. After this search, Torghast will be available to run at will.

If you have ended your search, a Torghast portal is open at the back of The Maw’s Ve’nari Refuge. There are no conditions to reach Torghast after the search is done. Torghast itself is not limited to keys and you don’t have to buy an object to join. Continue via the portal.

Torghast, Tower of the Damned Mechanics
A few special mechanics are employed by Torghast. Along with the complex architecture and growing challenges when scaling the tower, a certain user interface, transient skills and special experiences make Torghast a fascinating and enjoyable challenge.

The Jailer Chains in Torghast, the Tower of the Damned
You will get a debuff, The Jailer’s Chains, as soon as you reach Torghast, which prohibits you from changing tools, skills and specializations. The shelter of the Refuge of the Damned will fight this, which suppresses not only the chains of the Jailer, but also the consequences of torments. It hides you from your rivals, too. In the Torghast entering road and on the third floor there is a sanctuary of the Damned.

Torghast uses a few basic user interface features.

Objective Tracker: This tells you key facts about your Torghast run: how many deaths you or your party now have and how much phantasm you actually have.
Anima Power UI: This retractable UI displays how much Anima power it receives at the moment. Click on the Anima Powers button to display the Anima Powers icons you already have in the slide-out menu. A quick summary can appear as you step across a symbol. The number on the icon showed how many stacks you have of the Anima Power. Anima Powers like those that give you free Phantasma, for example, are not shown on the Anima Power UI immediately and clearly.

Torghast, Tower of the Damned Anima Orbs and Powers
Anima Orbs are Torghast ‘s primary power source. Anima Orbs spawns around floors and you can communicate with them to pick an Anima Force from a limited menu of powerful features that last across Torghast. Anima Orbs can be found by doing the following:

Anima Orbs can spawn on the ground simply but are normally shielded by Elite Mobs. Many that spawn in Break Rooms will not be safe.
At the end of most floors, empowered mobs with more damage and health spawn. The killing still produces an Anima Orb. They are destroyed.
Likewise, Uncommon Mobs will still spawn a killed Anima Orb.
Occasionally, Torghast opponents and phylacteries keep anima orbs and injure or break them once.
Fulfilling side goals such as opening special chests or supporting inmates in the covenant would create Anima Orb.
Anima Orbs can be bought from Plundered Anima Cell in break rooms from broker NPCs.
An Anima Orb is a Plundered Anima Cell with which you can communicate. If you are playing with, you can select up to three anima strength, which you can use for the rest of your life. This anima power systems are colored to display their intensity according to the same color chart as item quality, with white being the most commonly used, and purple being the most powerful.

You can stack loads of stackable Anima Power (such as stat rises, generation of ghosts, etc.) and unselected ghosts can be seen in future Anima orbs again, so don’t fear to stack the power!

You can not close the selection window, or a button will appear on the computer until you are ready to access it, if you are not sure which Anima Power you want or whether you are targeted when trying to find out what Anima Power you want. You only have to pick a Force before you can rob another Orb.

Torghast, Tower of the Damned Torments
Torments are a mechanic that raises additional complexity in Torghast. If you progress up and up the levels, the Jailer can note the present and use torments to empower or weaken the players. From the new Alpha Shadowlands, the torments get deeper as you hit higher floors.

Death Count and the Tarragrue Tower in Torghast
Contrary to previous versions of difficult contents, Torghast does not restrict your time or speed, but is the number of deaths. You’ll die in Torghast at the beginning of the floor, and you are allowed to die several times a race, depending on your party’s membership:
Alone: five deaths.
Two chars: eight deaths.
Three chars: ten deaths.
Four chars: thirteen deaths.
Five chars: fifteen deaths.
These death counters apply to the whole party (IE you are only allowed to die 15 times among your group’s five members, not 15 deaths per person). You will die worse than if you had an Obscuring Essence Potion to minimize the counter of death for the racing.

However, when maximum allowed deaths are reached, the run does not stop immediately – When you hit it, a 30-second timer will appear in your Torghast UI and The Tarragrue will spawn after the timer has been terminated. The Tarragrue is a huge NPC, which expands at the top of the floor and eventually reaches the end of the stage.

When The Tarragrue hits your place, you’ll be killed and returned to the start of the floor so that you can’t get past The Tarragrue at this moment. If you hit the edge of the current floor and continue on to the next level until it reaches you, you can however avoid Tarragruee. If you have hit a new floor, you will proceed, but there are still 0 deaths left, and your next death will spawn The Tarragrue.

The Wayfinder
After the introductory stages of Torghast have been finished, you can see a clickable plate near the region on the portal when entering the sheet. It’s the Wayfinder. The Wayfinder UI is opened by communicating with the Wayfinder.

The Wayfinder helps you to view all of the wing layers you have already unlocked. The UI shows what tiers of the current wing you have unlocked, and what layers you have won weekly awards from this week. It indicates as well how much Soul Ash each layer is to be completed and changed to any low-level layers on which you have not yet received benefits. Completing a layer earns you some rewards for lower layers, so you can start anywhere; you don’t have to start every time from the beginning. Everything you need to do is to unlock a layer.

Torghast, Tower of the Damned layout and Environment
Torghast is divided into 10 areas: six Wings, three Runecarver’s and Winding Passages.

Torghast, Tower of the Damned Terminology
Run: The uninterrupted period in Torghast before you quit or finish the goal in a wing or spinning corridor.

Floor: the world you’re at the beginning and ending with a new portal.
Layer: 6 floors party.

Twisting Corridor: three layers party.
Wing: 8 layer party.

Break Room: Each layer’s third floor is a break room.
Boss Room: Every layer ‘s sixth floor is the boss room.
The floors one, two, four and five all finish with the Empowered mob.

Torghast, Tower of the Damned Wings
The wings of Torghast are Skoldus Hall, Fracture Chambers, Soulforges, Interstitia, Coldheart, Mort’regar and Upper Reaches. Just two of the six wings will be involved at a time; each week, they will rotate.

Every wing provides numerous surroundings, enemies and bosses and is divided into eight layers. Any layer has six floors. Layer 1 covers Floors 1 to 6, Layer 2 covers Floors 7 to 12 and so on. Completing a layer would end your wing and recompense you with Soul Ash, the money you need to develop your legendary gear.

When you finish a line, it is enabled and you can speak to the Wayfinder directly to this line at the start of a new layer. The higher the number of the layer and floor, the tougher the enemies get.

Twisting halls of Torghast, Tower of the Damned
Three layers are created by the Winding Tunnels, randomly picked out from the six Wings and selected together for an 18-story sprint. The Twisting Corridors are Torghast’s ‘Challenge Mode’ which have cosmetic incentives for clearing those thresholds. In the Winding Halls, you won’t win Soul Ash.

The Runecarver’s Chamber

The forge of souls and a prisoner Runecarver is also home to Torghast. You’ll bring your supplies and offerings here and ask the Runecarver to make a legendary gear. During the Torghast introduction quest you can unlock the Runecarver Chamber. You will find the chamber quickly, only turn right when you reach Torghast.

Tower of the Damned, Phantasma, Break Rooms and Vendors in Torghast.

Phantasma is a second Torghast currency. A variety of events in Torghast can be created to cause phantasmas, such as killing opponents, smashing different phylacteries spread throughout the dungeon or even created by certain animal forces. After you leave the dungeon, all Phantasma earned in a Torghast run dies, so you can not save leftover Phantasma from potential uses.

Phantasma is used for the procurement of Shackled Brokers, dealer NPCs, every 3rd and 6th floor. Shackled Brokers offer a range of items which you can use to extend. Any of these items are random and do not appear on any shackled dealer. All products other than Rejuvenating Siphoned Essence are available in small quantity.

The third floor of each layer is a break room and there are no enemies. These rooms are also home to Refuge of the Damned, some free anima spheres, phylacteries, and even binding spirits. Broker Ve’ken is the NPC broker to be seen in Break Rooms. On the sixth and final floor of every layer, the second shackled broker, Broker Ve’nott, can be identified. You will use this broker to store until you meet the Layer ‘s end supervisor.

The following items are for display for Shackled Brokers:

Plundered Anima Cell ( 150 ): Anima Orb spawns.
Ravenous Anima Cell ( 250): Conversion of a non-elite mob to Anima Orb.
Obscuring Essence Potion ( 100): Death is excluded from the counter of death.
Blinding Smoke Capsules ( 100): obscures for 30 seconds the view of the target area, decreases the aggregate range of opponents and allows players to slip past them.

Rejuvenating Siphoned Essence (35): Health and Mana potion that only works in Torghast:
Fleeting Frenzy Potion ( 125): Potion to increase damage by 30%. Can be used only in battle and can last as long as you are in battle.
Shackled brokers often stock an anima power range. They are random for any broker and can contain both the following and class unique animal strengths:
Secret Spices ( 275): Mawrat killing improves the maximum health by 2%, to 100%.
Curious Miasma ( 125): You are cured for a portion of your health when you attack a new creature.
Obleron Powers ( 65 each): Depending on the characters, one of the secondary statistics is improved by 5%, Crit damage and regeneration by 10%, or max health by 20%.
Bloating Fodder ( 65): You make mawrats erupt on death, coping with the pest of all enemies [1 * Spell power * (1 + Versatility) * 1].
Watchful Lightfly 125: A watchful lightfly covers you and does holy damage to enemies that hit you in fire (62.6 percent of spell power).

The Torghast Souls, Tower of the Damned
Many spirits are dispersed by Torghast. Tortured souls are there, bound souls. And more, pain at The Jailer ‘s joy. Interacting with those souls would unlock them by giving you a stackable buff, Soul Remnant’s Blessing and another new currency, Freed Soul, that would last for your entire Torghast run. Any souls will give you a certain buff, Soulbound Armaments, if you kill them.

Torghast Phylacteries, Tower of the Damned

In an apparent homage to Diablo, the Torghast worlds are openly adorned with disruptive phylacteries.
You can damage or interfere with these phylacteries in order to vandalize. Many phylacteries have no fantasy. Some phylacteries are adorned with a black Anima orb. If these are crushed, Anima Orb is dropped.

A small room with another shackled broker and a manager meeting will be situated on the sixth floor of each layer. The Shackled Broker works on this floor much like the Broker Breakroom, as a place to invest your fantasy and brace your boss for the fight. Broker Ve’nott is the manager space broker.
In order to go forward into Torghast, you have to overthrow bosses on a manager level to cross an obstacle that prevents you before the manager is gone. At present, bosses are falling 1 [PH] Torghast Boss Loot and a bunch of [PH] Condemned Soul Essence at the Shadowlands Alpha.
When the manager dies, the barrier to the next floor is gone. An Anima Orb spawns next to the gateway to the next level. Currently, Boss Room Anima Orbs includes primarily Epic Anima Forces options. There is also a [PH] Legendary Component Resonant Chest at the boss ‘s exit.

Torghast, Tower of the Damned Rare Mobs
You can encounter unusual mobs in Torghast, who are declared by the Runecarver to be strong servants of the jailer. The unusual mob Subjugator Klontzas, who drops two exclusive animal powers: the Manacles of the Subjugator’s Manacles and the Vial of Lost Potential.

Torghast, Tower of the Damned Rewards
Many of the prizes currently in Torghast are placeholders, but currencies can be obtained only in the tower.
Freed Soul, a currency that will allow you to progress your Covenant, is provided by Freed Soul in Torghast.
Torghast resonant chests contain [PH] Legendary Component, which is likely to be used in the creation of legendary posts. It will possibly be turned into Soul Ash in a future house.
The Torghast bosses are currently dropping one [PH] Torghast Boss Loot, which will probably be their placeholder for real equipment, and a few [PH] Condemned Soul Essence, which will probably be used to produce your own legends.
The creation of a iconic piece includes Soul Ash , to be awarded once a week by Wing once a layer has been finished in one of the 6 wings.
