Best Races

Given that the expansion under consideration is Wrath of the Lich King, the paladin class has somewhat of a one-sided availability when it comes to races that can choose this class, with the Horde having only the Blood Elves and the Alliance having several options ranging from Human, Dwarf, and Draenei.

Horde

Blood Elf: The Blood Elves are the only race that may choose the Paladin class in the Wrath of the Lich King expansion, and they have three separate racial abilities: Arcane Torrent, Arcane Affinity, and Magic Resistance. Arcane Torrent is a two-second silence that can be used to interrupt spell casts. Arcane Affinity works similarly to the gem cutter draenei racial, increasing Enchanting skill, while Magic Resistance reduces the chance of being hit by spells by 2%, making it an excellent mitigation tool against spell casters.

Alliance

Human: One of the three viable races for the Paladin class in Alliance, with numerous incredible racial skills, including Diplomacy, which enhances your reputation gain by 10%, allowing you to grind your reputation for item enchants faster than the other races. The additional knowledge from Sword Specialization and Mace Specialization, together with The Human Spirit, will allow you to better min-max your stats.
Humans also benefit from one exceptionally powerful racial, Every Man for Himself, which may be utilized to avoid certain stun or incapacitated effects from dungeons and raids.

Dwarf: Due to the nature of the expansion, frost damage is expected to be encountered during dungeons and raids. Frost Resistance helps you mitigate some of the damage you receive, while Mace Specialization, like the human race, will help you with expertise in order to min max your stats in a more efficient manner. The Dwarf race has a more intriguing defensive racial, Stoneform, however it is best suited for the Protection Paladin specialty, which boosts your armor by 10% and eliminates debuffs.

Draenei: Another good choice for the Paladin class, the Draenei race has one key racial power that may boost up the entire party or raid, Heroic Presence, a highly desired boon that improves the hit rating of the entire party by 1%. While this may not appear to be much, it allows all players who benefit from this boost to gain other vital metrics while not being pushed to meet the hit maximum. Draenei, like Blood Elves, gain from Gemcutting, which increases their Jewelcrafting ability, as well as a Shadow Resistance racial, which decreases the risk of being affected by shadow spells by 2%.

Best Professions

Mining is one of the most profitable professions you can pursue; you can also use it to grind up engineering because the only disadvantage of engineering is a lack of resources to level it up or a lack of gold.
Engineering is a must-have for high-end raiding for two reasons. First, engineering haste gloves Hyperspeed Accelerators, which provide a significant boost to your haste, offering 340 haste rating per 48 seconds, making it a must-have for any haste-abusing class.

Second, Nitro Boosts, which is an excellent escape option for difficult confrontations and assists you in avoiding complications such as “Defile bombing” your raid.

Saronite bombs are also a great complement to your rotation; tie them to a macro and you’ll get approximately 2k DPS for free.

Jewelcrafting – Typically, when people have maxed out their gear and are aiming for high end raiding, they choose jewelcrafting with engineering to max out their stats. Jewelcrafting allows you to create three special gems that offer a lot more stats than normal gems, which can significantly boost your overall performance.
When paired with herbalism, alchemy may be a lucrative profession, offering 2 hour flasks, transmutations, and access to a plethora of helpful potions. Because raiding necessitates a large number of consumables, you should combine alchemy and herbalism to optimize the profession’s potential income.

Enchanting and Tailoring are always a good combination; the fact that you can make bags increases your revenue, and everything you make with tailoring can be disenchanted for a large profit on the auction house; tailoring provides a useful bonus enchantment for your cloak, while enchanting allows you to enchant your rings. Enchanting, on the other hand, is incredibly expensive to level up, especially if not combined with Tailoring.

Leatherworking / Skinning can be handy early in the game to get some cash, but it suffers greatly in the latter game, thus I would not recommend you follow those professions because alchemy/herbalism can be far more profitable.
Blacksmithing – Can give early game perks, and the ability to build your own armor greatly improves your leveling grind, but in the late game, when you’re spamming dungeons and raids, blacksmithing becomes outdated.
