The Iskaara Tuskarr are a Tuskarr clan that has been quietly living in tune with nature in the Dragon Isles for years, occasionally befriending the odd loa. Although they are pleasant and accommodating to visitors, they have recently been threatened by the neighbouring Gnoll population of Brackenhide Hollow. By befriending these Tuskarr and participating in some of their local customs, you will not only learn a lot about fishing (and eat a lot of eel gut soup), but you will also aid Kalecgos and the blue dragonflight find strong sources of magic known as leylines across The Azure Span!
This Renown-based reputation will become available to you later in the Dragonflight leveling experience, when you are approximately halfway through The Azure Span’s main tale. Progression begins with the mission To Iskaara, which takes you to the beach settlement of Iskaara Tuskarr. You can also start the Orientation Iskaara quest from here to meet many of the important NPCs involved in the quest’s rewards. It should be noted, however, that you can still earn reputation with the Iskaara Tuskarr before you can claim any rewards for reaching higher Renown levels.
Although all Renown-based reputations in Dragonflight mostly contain “optional” rewards like mounts, cosmetic armor and weapon appearances, toys, battle pets, titles, and unique Dragonriding customizations, they also provide access to a variety of additional activities within the Dragon Isles that reward extra gear that may prove useful while initially gearing a character at Level 70. This is especially beneficial until Dragonflight Mythic+ Season One starts and the Vault of the Incarnates raid becomes available. Furthermore, keep in mind that many of the rewards and features from this reputation are account-based unlocks with catch-up mechanisms for alts. This is especially useful if you want to obtain some of the unique Profession recipes that are only available at certain renown levels.
For the Iskaara Tuskarr in particular, here is a summary of all rewards available from maximizing its 30 Renown levels:
Although the Iskaara Tuskarr have numerous NPCs, there are a few that are particularly notable since they are regular merchants of its various Renown awards. Having saying that, all purchaseable Renown prizes may be obtained from Murik in Iskaara! Murik, the faction’s quartermaster, can be found in The Azure Span at coordinates 13.13, 49.27; look for him directly outside the chieftain’s hut next to the flight point.
Aside from the cosmetic prizes available at various Renown levels, there are also a variety of Profession recipes available for purchase. Some of these may be extremely useful to you if you want to make some extra money or learn more about your job! The recipes, as well as the needed renown level and related profession, are mentioned below.
Note that all of these recipes can be acquired from Murik in Iskaara.
One of the key unlockable features of the Iskaara Tuskarr reputation is the ability to participate in Community Feasts, which entails playing a series of minigames to improve the quality of a soup being prepared in Iskaara in order to earn rewards and access to potent food buffs while traveling through the Dragon Isles. This feature is unlocked for the first time at Renown level 3, though it is an account-wide unlock; that is, only one character needs to have reached this renown for any subsequent characters to participate.
Community Feasts happen every 3.5 hours and are marked on your minimap up to 10 minutes in advance. When a feast is underway, visiting Iskaara will grant you a weekly task to increase the “Aroma” of the completed soup during the following 15 minutes, improving its overall quality from Common to Legendary! This is accomplished by standing near the pot and performing Big Kinook’s chores. These duties might involve any of the following:
As the soup approaches each Aroma threshold, a formidable adversary will appear and must be slain before the activities can proceed. If you spawn a powerful enough elite (such as the hungry Bisquius), you could get a new ride, battle pet, or ladle transmog (Big Kinook’s Spare Ladle)!
After 15 minutes, the soup is done, and anybody, even if they did not participate in the event, may assist themselves to a dish for the following hour. Depending on the quality of the soup, you will earn an increasingly powerful well-fed bonus that will keep you active in the dragon isles. In addition, for completing the weekly quest, you will receive a Supply-Laden Soup Pot containing Dragon Isles Supplies, armor, ingredients, and a chance at one of the three recipes that can create the Kalu’ak’s Grand Banquet.
