Primordial Stone Gems and Onyx Annulet in Patch 10.0.7
How to Get the Onyx Annulet
The Zskera Vault, a brand-new activity added in Patch 10.0.7, is where you can find the Onyx Annulet. Except from stamina and the three primal sockets, the ring has no main or secondary stats. Check out our specialized tutorial to find out how to open the Zskera Vaults and get the keys you need to search for Primordial Stones!
An Unusual Ring will be lying on the ground at the first floor of a Zskera Vault when you first enter one. The quest The Lost Ring can be started by picking up this ring. The Onyx Annulet ring is the reward from this quick task.
The ring is incredibly hard to miss, glittering on the floor at the entrance of the Vaults.
How to Obtain Primordial Stones
In the Forbidden Reach, the following activities will yield Primordial Stones:
Completing an Evolved Storm event, available in the Forbidden Reach every couple hours – This will award Condensed Magic items, explained further down the guide;
Completing the Trial of Storms chest event, available in the Forbidden Reach once a week – This will award Condensed Magic items, explained further down the guide;
Opening doors at Zskera Vaults and looting big chests – This will award individual Primordial Stones and Dormant Primordial Fragment, used to obtain even more Primordial Gems.
Primordial Sockets
Only the Onyx Annulet contains Primordial Sockets, and they can only accommodate Primordial Stones.

Manipulating Primordial Stones
Primordial stones can be used for a variety of tasks, such as disassembling unwanted stones, creating the stones you desire, and enhancing the strength of your favorite stones. After receiving the Onyx Annulet, a questline beginning with Primordial Embellishment, which is accessible soon after receiving the ring itself, will enable you to alter Primordial Stones.
You will have the choice to alter your stones by the little blacksmithing area in Morqut Village once you have finished this brief questline. You may control your ring using the Additional Action Buttons that are located there.
Unsocketing Primordial Stones
On the left of the blacksmithing station, by the jewelcrafting kit, you can take Primordial Stones out of your Onyx Annulet.
As soon as you get close to the table, the Additional Action Button Pluck Out Primordial Stone becomes available to you. You can take a Primordial Stone out of your Onyx Annulet using this power without damaging it. This makes it possible for Primordial Stone to improve or replace particular gems. After you have access to the ability, use it to unsocket the Primordial Stone you no longer want on your ring by first opening the socket menu on your Onyx Annulet as you would for any other gem socketing.
Breaking Down Primordial Stones
By using the blacksmithing anvil to the right of the blacksmithing area, you can convert Primordial Stones into Dormant Primordial Fragment. Six Dormant Primordial Fragments are awarded for breaking one Primordial Stone.
You will get the ability Break Primordial Stone as an Additional Action Button once you get close to the anvil. You can break undesirable Primordial Stones using this power. Once you have access to the ability, choosing a gem from your inventory that you no longer want will cause the stone to crack.
Dormant Primordial Fragment can be used to either create new Primordial Stones, or increase the item level of an existing Primordial Stone.
Upgrading A Primordial Stone
With the help of a new process called Unstable Elementium that was included in Patch 10.0.7, jewelers can improve Primordial Stones. The Jewelcrafting Profession Rare Amephyst in the Forbidden Reach is where the formula for this design is a rare drop from. To learn the recipe, you need 50 Dragon Isles Jewelcrafting points.
Your Onyx Annulet’s item level will be determined by the average item level of the three Primordial Stones that are socketed into it, although this will simply enhance the ring’s base stamina. Each Primordial Stone must be leveled separately in order to improve the effects’ potency.
Purchasing Primordial Stones
You can make a Primordial Stone from an element belonging to the Primordial Stone family using Condensed Magic, a new item. You can either buy these artifacts from Researcher Imareth at Morqut Village for 10 Dormant Primordial Fragments, or you can loot them from Forbidden Reach events like the Trial of the Storm chests or Primal Storm encounters.
Even though there is some RNG involved in which Primordial Stone you may choose, it shouldn’t take long to find the gems you need because there are many Primordial Stones in the Zskera Vaults and the Forbidden Reach. The Condensed Magic items and the stones they each produce are listed below.
