Artifact Weapons are back in Legion Remix as one of the main power sources for your character! ️ These spec-specific weapons grow in power as you progress through Legion content and are infused with Infinite Power to unlock traits and abilities. In this comprehensive guide, we will explain how to obtain your first Artifact Weapon, how to level it up, and what has changed compared to the original Legion expansion.
Time Investment: 2-4 hours for initial setup, unlimited progression potential
Requirements: Legion Remix Timerunner character, access to Dalaran
Difficulty: Easy to moderate (can be boosted for instant completion)
To get Artifact Weapons in Legion Remix, all you need to do is log in to your Timerunner character, after which you will appear at Krasus’ Landing in Dalaran. Speak with Moratari to begin the introductory questline.
The introduction takes some time to complete and includes quests like:
Throughout this questline, you will receive your artifact weapons, learn how to add traits to them, and start your journey through WoW Legion Remix.
Pro Tip: Choose your first Artifact carefully. Unlocking a second weapon for off-specs requires additional questing later.
Once completed, you’ll be sent to your Order Hall to continue the campaign and eventually collect Artifact Weapons for your other specializations. After you finish the introduction once, future characters can skip it. Speak to Moratari on a new Timerunner and select: “Haven’t we done this before? “
In Legion, players could customize their Artifact Weapon’s appearance by completing various tasks and unlocking the Artifact Forge. In WoW Legion Remix, however, the Artifact Forge is no longer available in any Order Hall. This means you cannot unlock new appearances—only the base appearances for each specialization are available.
Here we have also prepared a list of what base artifact weapons for each class and spec look like:
Artifact Weapons in Legion Remix have been streamlined to fit the event’s fast-paced progression. Instead of relics and spec-specific trees, you’ll use a single talent tree powered by Infinite Power, upgrade item level passively with Artifactium Sand, and freely swap between five Artifact Abilities to match your build.
In Legion Remix, this system has been streamlined. Instead of relics, you now upgrade your weapon by collecting Artifactium Sand and Mound of Artifactium Sand. These items drop from the same sources that award Bronze and are automatically consumed when picked up, increasing the item level of all your Artifact Weapons at once.
Your weapon will keep scaling this way until you hit the maximum item level available, after which Artifactium Sand will stop dropping.
In Legion Remix, your Artifact Weapon no longer levels up through relics or separate spec-specific power grinds. Instead, everything is streamlined into a single system called Infinite Power. As you play, you’ll passively collect power from almost every activity — questing, dungeons, raids, world content, and even just killing enemies.
You gain Infinite Power from nearly all Legion Remix activities:
Fragmented Memento of Epoch Challenges is a new collectible currency introduced in Legion Remix. These fragments drop from completing harder content and act as a key source of progression for your Artifact Weapon. When you collect 100 fragments, you can combine them into a single item that grants a large amount of Infinite Power, making this one of the most reliable ways to level up your Artifact talents quickly.
Source | Fragments Dropped |
---|---|
Elite Mobs (Heroic World Tier) | 0–1 |
Rare Mobs (Heroic World Tier) | 1 |
World Boss | 1 |
Normal Raid Bosses | 4–8 |
Heroic Raid Bosses | 12–15 |
Mythic Raid Bosses | 25–30 |
Mythic+ End Chest* | 8–9 (+2) to 132–139 (+35) |
Infinite Knowledge is another progression system in Legion Remix that directly boosts how much Infinite Power you gain from all sources, including items like Fragmented Memento of Epoch Challenges. You earn Infinite Knowledge by completing specific achievements across the event, and each rank makes leveling your Infinite Artifact Weapon faster.
This currency is account-wide, which means it applies to every character on your account. Once unlocked, your alts will automatically gain the increased Infinite Power bonus, making it much easier to catch them up without repeating the same grind.
The Artifact Weapon talent tree in Legion Remix is fully streamlined and shared across all 36 specializations. No matter which class or spec you play, every Artifact Weapon uses the same tree layout.
The initial traits of Artifact Weapons are the core of every weapon in Legion Remix. These talents provide flat stat boosts. You can pick up every point in this section, and they help strengthen your weapon early on.
Once you’ve invested points in your initial traits, you can choose one of five Artifact Abilities for your weapon. Each ability comes with its own row of talents, including three effects with three ranks each and a final powerful effect that only requires a single talent point.
