Overview
Welcome to Wrath of the Lich King’s most RNG-based spec. This guide will cover the best races for Horde and Alliance, Fire DPS rotation and gameplay for those incredible immediate Pyroblasts, the best overall Professions so nothing is wasted, as well as Talents, Gems, Enchants, Consumables, and Glyphs to get you to RNG Town.
Best Races
This may seem unimportant to most, but it has a substantial influence on your end game material; the greatest Horde race is Troll, while the best Alliance race is Gnome or Draenei.
Horde
Berserking, a 20% cast speed bonus that lasts 10 seconds and has a 3 minute cooldown.
Arcane Torrent regenerates 6% of your mana every 2 minutes and has the highest basic Intellect stat, providing a bit additional crit and mana.
Undead: Will of the Forsaken removes fear, mind control, and sleep affects every 2 minutes, which might be effective against some bosses in certain situations.
Troll will be the best race for Horde players.
Alliance
Gnome: Expansive Mind boosts your Intellect stat by 5%, providing a little amount of additional crit and mana.
Human: The Human Spirit boosts your Spirit stat by 3%, giving you a little more crit when wearing Molten Armor. Furthermore, Every Man for Himself may eliminate any crowd control effect on you once every 2 minutes, which is handy against certain bosses.
Draenei: Heroic Presence boosts the hit chance of every party member within 30 yards by 1%. That’s a strong impact, but it doesn’t stack, so you’ll only need 5 in total every raid.
Overall, all three are fantastic Fire Mages. Draenei is an excellent choice since 1 percent hit makes it simpler to equip, but it does not stack, thus Gnome is the superior option if your raid already includes a Draenei member.
Best Professions
Tailoring: Provides Lightweave Embroidery, a 295 Spell Power proc that lasts 15 seconds and has a 50% proc probability. If it procs immediately after its 45 second Internal Cooldown ends, it will offer a huge 98 Spell Power on average during a fight.
Engineering: Provides the Hyperspeed Accelerators glove enchant, an active effect that grants 340 Haste rating ( 10% spell casting speed) for 12 seconds with a 1 minute cooldown, with a 20% uptime resulting in an average of 68 Haste rating. Furthermore, the Nitro Boosts boot enchant provides 24 Crit rating and an active effect that grants you a large movement speed increase for 5 seconds, which is frequently quite beneficial.
