What Changed for Warlocks in WoW Forever

The Forever servers add significant QoL and power adjustments to Warlocks. Unstable Affliction now silences anyone who dispels it for 3 seconds, making dispel-bot Warriors miserable. Felguard demon joins Demonology, giving that spec real AoE and pet control. Ritual of Summoning actually works for group invites now instead of dropping people at your feet. Soulstone functions as battle rez, usable in combat with a 10-second cast, so your group doesn't wipe when the main tank eats mechanics. Seed of Corruption provides AoE pressure for raids and dungeons. These changes push Warlock from "okay DPS" to serious raid contribution, especially Affliction.

Big mechanical changes: DoT ticks can now crit (they could not in Classic), making crit way more valuable for Affliction. Pandemic talent doubles DoT crit damage. Spirit now scales with Life Tap, so Spirit is no longer a dump stat. Incinerate is a new Destruction spell that replaces Shadow Bolt as the main filler. Alliance

Gnome is the top pick. Escape Artist breaks slows and snares for 1 second, letting you kite melee in dungeons without fear. Intellect bonus helps Life Tap efficiency. Human runs second for the Spirit bonus, which translates to more usable mana from Life Tap conversions.

Horde

Undead dominates PvP. Will of the Forsaken removes stuns and fear effects, critical when you're dotted by Priests and Druids. Cannibalize turns enemy corpses into healing when you're low, saving potions. Warlock Class Mount Quest - The Dreadsteed

At level 60, Warlocks unlock the Dreadsteed class mount quest. The demon emerges during a solo boss fight at your Summoning Stone. Defeat the Dreadsteed summoned, prove your dominion, and tame it. The mount itself is a jet-black skeletal horse radiating green fel energy. It's not the fastest mount in the game (100% speed, same as all epic mounts), but it's yours and it's metal as hell.

Leveling as Warlock

Warlocks level third-fastest in WoW Forever behind Hunters and Paladins. Zero downtime is the advantage. Life Tap converts mana to health instantly, keeping the cycle running.
