Midnight Mythic+ Guide: All Dungeons & Rewards (S1)

Midnight Mythic+ Season 1 Overview

Mythic+ returns for World of Warcraft's Midnight expansion on March 24, 2026, and it's bringing serious changes to how you push keys. The new Lindormi's Guidance affix, a revamped dungeon pool, and returning Xal'atath's Bargain mechanics make Season 1 feel fresh while staying true to what made Mythic+ beloved by the community.

Season 1 starts with eight dungeons in rotation: four brand-new Midnight dungeons and four legacy dungeons pulled from previous expansions. This locked pool remains the same for the entire season, so routes become stable, strategies solidify, and you can actually plan your push to Keystone Master without worrying about weekly dungeon swaps.

The biggest difference from previous seasons? Lindormi's Guidance affix runs from levels 2 through 5, essentially guiding newer players into the M+ pipeline by highlighting an optimal path and preventing timer failures from death penalties. Once you hit level 5, you'll face the full suite of Xal'atath's Bargain affixes and the standard Tyrannical/Fortified rotation.

All 8 Dungeons in the Rotation

Here's the complete Midnight Season 1 Mythic+ dungeon pool. You'll be running these eight dungeons all season, so it's worth learning every route, every pack, and every boss mechanic.

Dungeon Name Type Zone Key Difficulty Notes
Windrunner Spire New (Midnight) Eversong Woods Multi-level layout, ranged-heavy packs, movement-intensive
Murder Row New (Midnight) Voidstorm Compact design, tight corridors, aura mechanics on trash
Den of Nalorakk New (Midnight) Zul'Aman Beast-themed packs, positioning-heavy, high damage output
Maisara Caverns New (Midnight) Zul'Aman Underground layout, pillars for LoS, environmental hazards
Magister's Terrace (Remake) Legacy (Updated) Eversong Woods Classic layout redesigned for M+, familiar to veterans
Pit of Saron Legacy Icecrown Citadel Linear structure, ice mechanics, moderate difficulty
Seat of the Triumvirate Legacy Argus Void-themed, circular layout, multi-phase encounters
Skyreach Legacy Draenor Vertical design, elemental packs, high mobility requirement

New Midnight Dungeons

Windrunner Spire is an verticality-focused dungeon with multiple levels and airflow mechanics that reward smart movement. Routes here require class mobility or careful LoS management. Full guide coming soon: Windrunner Spire Guide

Murder Row is a tight, urban-style dungeon with ranged-heavy trash packs and aura-based mechanics. DPS survivability and proper spread positioning matter here. Full guide coming soon: Murder Row Guide

Den of Nalorakk brings back troll dungeons with beast-themed trash and high damage output. Healers need constant awareness, and DPS need solid positioning. Full guide coming soon: Den of Nalorakk Guide

Maisara Caverns features an underground layout with pillars for line-of-sight plays and environmental hazards that can catch you off guard. Melee-friendly with strategic kiting opportunities. Full guide coming soon: Maisara Caverns Guide

Legacy Dungeons

Magister's Terrace (Remake) is a familiar name with a fresh M+ twist. Veterans will recognize the core layout, but the redesign for Season 1 adds new challenges. Full guide coming soon: Magister's Terrace Guide

Pit of Saron returns from Wrath with a mostly linear structure and ice-themed mechanics that test healer mana management. Steady and predictable, making it a solid learning dungeon. Full guide coming soon: Pit of Saron Guide

Seat of the Triumvirate is a void-infused dungeon with circular layout and multi-phase boss encounters. Complexity ramps up fast, making it one of the harder dungeons in the pool. Full guide coming soon: Seat of the Triumvirate Guide

Skyreach demands mobility from every role. Its vertical design and elemental trash mean you'll be moving constantly. Great for testing your class mastery. Full guide coming soon: Skyreach Guide

Mythic+ Affix System in Midnight

Midnight Season 1 brings a simplified yet challenging affix structure. Affixes start mattering at level 5, with Lindormi's Guidance acting as the early-game tutorial affix from levels 2 through 5.

Lindormi's Guidance (Levels 2-5)

This new affix highlights certain non-boss enemies with Temporal Sands. These marked enemies take 5% reduced damage and deal 5% reduced damage, and defeating them counts as 100% of the Enemy Forces for pulling requirements. Crucially, Lindormi's Guidance prevents player deaths from reducing the dungeon timer, making early keys forgiving while you learn routes and mechanics.

Xal'atath's Bargain Affixes (Level 5+)

Once you hit level 5, Xal'atath's Bargain affixes become active. These rotating weekly affixes add a secondary challenge layer. One variant, Xal'atath's Bargain: Ascendant, spawns Orbs of Ascendance that buff nearby enemies with 20% movement speed and 20% haste if left unchecked. Stopping these casts instead grants your group buffs, turning the affix into a strategic choice about what you want to buff.

Tyrannical and Fortified

These core affixes rotate weekly and apply to all key levels. Tyrannical weeks boost boss health by 30% and boss damage by 15%, making single-target DPS and defensive cooldown management critical. Fortified weeks buff trash packs by 20% health and 15% damage, rewarding efficient packs and solid group coordination.

Best Mythic+ Compositions

The Midnight Season 1 meta revolves around uptime and sustained damage. Here's what's performing at the top levels:

Role Best Specs Why They Work
DPS #1 Demonology Warlock Raw damage output, Hell Stones utility, mobile casting. Dominates early season.
DPS #2 Unholy Death Knight / Arcane Mage Unholy offers pet tanking and 90% ranged DPS. Arcane brings consistent damage and silence utility.
DPS #3 (High Keys) Augmentation Evoker Buff synergy and flexible utility. Essential for optimized teams pushing 20+.
Healer Restoration Druid Clear meta lead. Mobility, aura healing, instant casts. Resto Shaman is close second for PUG adaptability.
Tank Vengeance Demon Hunter Uncapped AoE, reliable uptime, redesigned Metamorphosis feels amazing. Brewmaster Monk is solid alternative.

Mythic+ Rewards and Item Levels

Pushing keys in Midnight Season 1 rewards item level 639 gear at +2, scaling up to 639 at end-of-dungeon for high keys. The weekly Vault (Great Vault) provides high-end rewards for completing keys and winning the weekly affix race.

Keystone Level Dungeon Chest ilvl Great Vault ilvl Notes
+2 to +6 639 639 Entry-level Mythic+ rewards. Great for fresh 70s.
+7 to +10 639 649 Solid progression window. Vault gear starts pulling ahead.
+11 to +14 649 659 High-end Mythic+. Serious players hang out here.
+15 and above 659 669 Keystone Master window and beyond. Top 1% gameplay.

Keystone Master requires completing a +15 key or higher before the season ends. The seasonal reward is a unique mount that becomes a status symbol in your realm.

Keystone Master in Midnight Season 1

Keystone Master (KSM) is the seasonal achievement that marks you as a serious Mythic+ player. To earn it, you must complete one dungeon at Keystone Level +15 or higher before the season ends on June 23, 2026. You don't need to do all eight dungeons at +15, just one.

What You Get

Beyond bragging rights, you earn the Midnight seasonal mount, unique transmog rewards, and a permanent achievement on your character. Many guilds and groups use Keystone Master as a baseline requirement for raid signups.

Timeline and Tips

Season 1 runs for 13 weeks, giving you plenty of time to push. Start by running keys consistently from week 1, aim to stabilize around +10 by week 4, then build your team chemistry toward the +15 grind. Communication and consistent roster matter more than individual gear at this level.

Want Keystone Master without the stress? Our KSM Carry guarantees the achievement and the seasonal mount, with experienced players handling the route optimization and coordination.

Tips for Pushing High Keys

The jump from +10 to +15 is significant. Here's what separates KSM teams from players stuck at the plateau:

Route Optimization

Know your dungeon. Spend time on mythic.plus finding optimal routes for your group composition. Which packs do you skip? Where's the toughest pull? Can you pull bigger? Route knowledge saves 2-3 minutes per dungeon, which is the difference between a timer and a wipe.

Communication

Voice chat is non-negotiable. You need callouts for cooldowns, upcoming mechanics, and danger. Discord or in-game voice works fine, but silence means wipes.

Add-ons

Install BetterUI, Mythic Dungeon Tools, and a weak aura pack for your spec. These tools track enemy abilities, visualize routes, and warn you of incoming mechanics. Competitive M+ players treat these as mandatory.

Consistency

Pushing high keys requires stamina. Run with the same group, same comps, same routes. Each dungeon run teaches you something. By run 20, you're playing a different level than run 1.

Need a specific key level for your Great Vault or aiming for higher rewards? Our Mythic+ Boost covers any key level you need, with professional players and guaranteed timer completion.

Frequently Asked Questions

When does Mythic+ Season 1 start in Midnight?

Mythic+ dungeons unlock on March 24, 2026. One week prior (March 17), Mythic difficulty opens if you want easier versions to learn dungeons and get starting gear.

What dungeons are in Midnight Mythic+ Season 1?

Four new Midnight dungeons (Windrunner Spire, Murder Row, Den of Nalorakk, Maisara Caverns) and four legacy dungeons (Magister's Terrace, Pit of Saron, Seat of the Triumvirate, Skyreach) make up the complete pool. This lineup stays for the entire season.

What item level do you need for Mythic+?

You need item level 639 minimum. You can get there from Mythic difficulty dungeons or raid gear. Season 1 starts approachable for well-geared players from previous patches.

How do you get Keystone Master in Midnight?

Complete one dungeon at Keystone Level +15 or higher before the season ends (June 23, 2026). You don't need to do all eight dungeons, just one +15 clear. High-key teams typically run one dungeon together, settle on a strategy, then push that dungeon to +15.

What's the best class for Mythic+ in Midnight Season 1?

Demonology Warlock and Restoration Druid lead their respective roles in early-season performance. Vengeance Demon Hunter is the premier tank. However, every spec can push Keystone Master with the right play and team coordination. Pick what you're good at or want to learn.

Do I need specific add-ons to succeed at high keys?

Not strictly, but they help massively. Install Mythic Dungeon Tools for route planning, BetterUI for cleaner UI, and a weak aura pack for your spec. These are community standards at +15 and above.
